CHAPTER - 7

"Ohh to tumhe yaad hai ki CEO tum nhi mai hu..." his tone turned angrier. "Tum salary deti ho kya sbko jo meri permission ke bina tumne usko jane diya.."He shouted and stood up from his seat.

Sakshi was shocked as she had never faced this angry hulk Abhimanyu.

" Tum tb tk nhi aaye the aur unhe urgent jane ki zarurat thi isliye mne unko bhej diya... I know tumhari permission needed thi but agr tum meri jagah hote to tum bhi yhi krte right ? after all vo tumhara staff and you would take care of them ? "

She was scared inside but she showed like she was very much confident. She knew it was her mistake not taking the permission from him.

"Well.. that depends on me ki mai jo chahu vo kru like you said vo mera staff hai to mai leave du na du meri marzi you are no one to decide that.... just be in your limits... don't forget tum ek employee ho yha aur mai CEO... mere staff ko discipline me kese rkhna hai I know better than you... tum hoti kon ho ye decide krne wali ki kon rhega kon jayega... "

She was just listening to all his scolding and shouting with eyes down. She knew that not taking the permission was her mistake but sending the peon was not. It was just the demand of that situation. She did what was right and she would never regret it.

"Sakshi apologize for what you did... "

She raises her eyes and meets with his eyes.

" I am sorry SIR" although she was meant to say him "sir" in office hours but still don't know why it pinched him a little. He was liking his name more when he listened his name in her voice.

" I am sorry for not taking your allowance but.. but I am not sorry for sending him... It was the need of the hour then... agr mai tb unko jane nhi deti to unke bete ka operation start nhi hota..."

FLASHBACK...

Before taking coffee to his cabin something clicked her mind. She turned around and stopped that peon.

"Bhaiya ek min isko pakadiye to.."

She hands him the coffee cup. She takes out some cash from her purse and hands him.

"Nhi beti ye kya kr rhi ho ye paise rkho apne paas mai intezaam kr lunga kahi se.."

"Bhaiya.. aap beti bhi keh rhe ho aur phir aise bhi kr rhe ho... agr mai aapki beti to hospital me vo aapka beta mera bhai hua na to bs apne bhai ke liye thoda sa contribution... mne mt kijiye aur bina behes kre jaiye.... bina fees jma krwaye vo operation start nhi krenge... ye shayd kuch madad krde to vo operation start to kr denge baaki ka aap dekh lijiyega aur agr aage kisi bhi madad ki zarurat pde to mujhe btana... yaad rkhna beti kaha hai aapne .."

He smiled in tears and gave her many blessings and promised her to return her money as soon as possible.

She looked in his eyes. They had a different confusion like he was having different doubts and questions. Like he was fighting a totally different fight inside him.

He was feeling like she was reading him like an open book. He broke their eye contact. He was scared if she read those unnamed emotions in his eyes which he was feeling.

"Ye tumhari pehli galti hai and make sure ki ye aakhiri bhi ho... "

Sakshi nodded her head and went back to her cabin. She realized that although she has helped someone but atleast she could have called him but how... ? she doesn't have his mobile number. She was so lost in thinking that she didn't notice that Karan was coming from front and Karan also was so engrossed in the phone call that he failed to notice Sakshi in front of him.

They bumped into each other. Since Sakshi was wearing heels she lost her balance and started to tilt backward and Karan held her hand to stop her from falling.

Sakshi had her eyes closed with a fear of falling and Karan was looking at her feeling lost in her face. Although he knows her from their college time but this was the first time he was noticing her.

Being lost he pulled her hand towards him which resulted her falling on his chest and her hairs spread on her face making her look more angelic. He felt something different for the first time in his life like a peace in his heart. He could not divert his eyes from her face. On the other side Sakshi was a bit uncomfortable as everyone was watching them this close and Karan was not leaving his hand.

"Karan..."

He snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Sakshi.

"Tum theek ho na tumhe lgi to nhi.. Are you okay ?"

" Karan mai theek hu and all thanks to you.. "

"Aree isme thanks kehne wali koi baat nhi hai.. I am glad mai tumhare kisi kaam to aa ska.."

"Karan leave..."

"Huhh..?" Although he felt a little bad but he said..." Ha.. ha vo Abhi ne bulaya tha so just leaving.."

"Karan I said leave.... my hand.."

He then snapped his head towards his hand and awkwardly left her hand and started seeing here and there being embarrassed.

"Acha vo I said naa Abhi bula rha tha so mai chlta hu... see you soon..?"

"Ya sure... Bye."

And she went towards her cabin and meanwhile Karan was looking towards the way she went. He kept looking in the same direction for a while.

"Ye kya tha...? aisa kabhi pehle to nhi hua... Sakshi ko to pehle se janta hu lekin usko dekh kr kabhi aisa mehsoos pehle nhi hua... phir aaj kyu...? nhi.. mai Sakshi ko dost se zyada kuch nhi maan skta... vo bhi tb jb Abhi usko chahne lga hai... bhut wakt baad to mere dost ki zindagi me aisi khushi aayi hai mai uske saath ye nhi kr skta... I have to stop here."

He shook his head and went towards Abhimanyu's cabin.

But one thing Sakshi and Karan didn't know that a pair of eyes was looking at them.
